about

Rich Oddie (Orphx/Eschaton/Oureboros) and Dave Foster (Huren/Teste) return under their punk/industrial scum electronics moniker O/H (aka Ontario Hospital, aka Oddie/Huren). These five tracks are an amalgamation of dense, yet somehow stripped down, heavy industrial punk electronic madness. Open filter, feedback drenched MS-20 and punishing 909 beats crash head-on throughout. Foster's Jello Biafra-esque vocals through a meat-grinder stylings meet a ranting homeless man as he raids your uncle's 80s VHS porn collection. Controlled chaos written, recorded, and put to tape as modern society falls apart in front of our eyes. Absolutely what the world needs right now (according to us). - L.I.E.S.

Industrial techno beasts Dave Foster (Huren) and Richard Oddie (Orphx) double down on their O/H project with a 2nd set of ramrods delivered on their L.I.E.S. debut. They ain’t messing about. A-side, they lace up the stentorian vocal and bludgeoning EBM techno of ‘Media Blitz’ and the gravelly slosh of ‘Supply/Demand’, again with barking Industrial vocals. B-side, they spit out ‘Human Waste’ and the slow motion pump of ‘Wage Slave’ along with the embittered cry of ‘Poverty Line’. - Boomkat

Since three years have now passed since Rich Oddie and Dave Foster debuted their O/H project on Opal Tapes, this EP is long overdue. As with their previous excursion, "Market Values" is breathlessly intense, offering a toxic, wild and angry fusion of lo-fi techno rhythms, punk attitude and what Ron Morelli has described as "scum electronics". Opener "Media Blitz", for example, is like a slap in the face with an iron anvil, while the more atmospheric "Supply/Demand" is notable not only for its hypnotic, arpeggio-driven rhythm section, but also the "screw capitalism" vibe of its growling spoken word vocal. Elsewhere, "Human Waste" takes lo-fi industrial electro to all new levels of fuzziness, while trippy and dimly lit closer "Poverty Line" could well be the best of the bunch. - Juno
